The organization currently operates with a staff of eight (8) full-time employees. Our staff members are experienced, competent and professional. The agency strives to foster a work environment that encourages professional development, creativity and collaboration.


Corey Harris - Executive Director

Corey Harris - Executive Director

Mr. Harris is responsible for the administrative and technical function of NHDC. He assumes full responsibility for directing and coordinating the functions of this private non-profit, 501 C-3 agency. Mr. Harris supervises the NHDC Team in the development and implementation of programs and activities related to housing, community and economic development as approved by the NHDC Board of Directors. Jeffrey Michael - Director of Housing Development

Jeffrey Michael - Director of Housing Development

Mr. Michael is responsible for the administration and management of housing construction and development for NHDC. He provides due diligence criteria and evaluations for proposed acquisitions. Mr. Michael also develops new construction and rehab packages that include plans, specifications, cost estimates, detailed work write-ups, contracts and related services for all NHDC projects and programs. Cheryl Beardsley - Chief Financial Officer

Cheryl Beardsley - Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Beardsley maintains accurate and complete records of all financial transactions, books, records, ledgers, and accounts of the organization. She tracks construction project costs and monitors contractor draw schedules, payments, contract balances, and current insurance certifications. Ms. Beardsley manages all aspects relating to Human Resources & benefits in regards to personnel and ensures compliance for grant agreements that provide special funding for NHDC. Janice Crews - Special Projects Coordinator

Janice Crews - Special Projects Coordinator

Mrs. Crews is responsible for the servicing, collection and management of all loans in the NHDC portfolio. She is responsible for the management of the Home Repair Program, including: marketing the program within the target service areas, reviewing client applications, determining eligibility and coordinating the completion of loan applications. Pebbles Vance - Housing Counselor

Pebbles Vance - Housing Counselor

Mrs. Vance is a Certified Housing Counselor with over 20 years of debt management/credit counseling experience. She provides counseling to clients looking to purchase a home with a focus on 1st time homebuyers. In addition, she assists struggling homeowners resolve their mortgage delinquency issues. Anne Conklin - Administrative Assistant

Patrice McDavid - Property Manager

Patrice McDavid - Property Manager

Mrs. McDavid is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all property management functions related to the organization's rental portfolio which spans over 3 counties. This includes collecting and tracking rental payments, coordinating maintenance and repairs of the rental units, tenant selections, compliance with HUD, NSP, and other funding sources, as well as marketing for the rental program. Karen Honess - Director of Advancement

Karen Honess - Director of Advancement

Ms. Honess is responsible for deepening and expanding NHDC's donor base. She manages the day-to-day internal operations of development efforts, strategizes and implements the fiscal year fundraising plan and is responsible for grant proposal development (narratives, budget, and supplementary materials), grant management, grant evaluation, and reporting to foundations, government bodies and corporations.
